Scott has dedicated his professional career to advocating home ownership, business ownership and access to funding to minority communities.
Growing up in a small steel town, he saw first-hand the ravages of inequity on families and communities. An outstanding student-athlete, he also witnessed how hard work, consistency, discipline and study could open of opportunities seemingly unrealizable for many others.
For more than a decade, Scott led a regional empowerment zone, responsibly sourcing millions in much needed capital to businesses throughout Northwest Indiana. He has also served as Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center and a Professor of management and entrepreneurship at Chicago State University.
In 2024, Scott assumed the helm of Kinexx Modular Construction and has quickly amplified Kinexx’s mission to deliver quality, innovative housing at scale.
