We were thrilled to have our Starter Home and the great work of our client, The Resurrection Project (TRP) included this week in the Chicago Tribune. In a great interview by Tribune writer Darcel Rockett, the Tribune draws on the insights of our friend and colleague, Raul Raymundo, CEO of and Co-founder of the Resurrection Project. Mr. Raymundo was featured alongside other influential community development professionals such as Andy Schcolnik (president of Southside Builders’ Association), Geoff Smith (Executive Director of the Institute for Housing Studies at DePaul University), Audra Wilson, (President and CEO of the Shriver Center on Poverty Law), Bob Palmer (Policy Director for Housing Action Illinois, Ahmadou Dramé (Housing and Community Development Manager at the Metropolitan Planning Council), Gregory Brown (Senior Vice President of Government Affairs for the National Apartment Association), Nykea Pippion McGriff (President of the Chicago Association of Realtors), Jeffrey Baker (Deputy CEO of Illinois Realtors), and Susan Popkin (Urban Institute Fellow).

According to Mr. Raymundo,

“Homeownership is a key way for working families to advance. We need to figure out how,” he said, “so we can rebuild these communities of color that have been left behind.”
